On Friday the 28th Jen Uí Dhuibhir (Chairperson of Comhlucht Forbartha na nDéise) and Dónal Ó Conghaile (Cathaoirleach Dhún Garbhán le Gaeilge) presented Máire Seó Breathnach with a lifetime achievement award.
Máire Seó Breathnach began her role as Irish Language Officer for the County Council 23 years ago. Since then she has established the Placenames Committee, is secretary of Comhlucht Forbartha na nDéise, one of the founders of Dún Garbhán le Gaeilge, is secretary of Cumann na nOifeagach Forbartha Gaeilge and much more.
Comhlucht Forbartha na nDéise and Dún Garbhán le Gaeilge were honoured to present this award to Máire Seó in recognition of all the work she has done to preserve and promote the Irish language in County Waterford.
